Pauline E. Brest
Pauline Elizabeth Brest, 84, of 400 Hillcrest Ave., Grove City, passed away at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a longtime battle with heart and renal disease.
She was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Farrell, to Paul Germano and Elizabeth Venezio Germano.
She was married to George H. Brest on Feb. 1, 1947. He died July 24, 1982.
Mrs. Brest was a licensed practical nurse at the former Mercer County Home and Hospital, and she also worked at Sines Value King, both in Mercer.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are three children, Linda M. and her husband, Walter, Henderson of Conneaut Lake, Diana L. Brest and her husband, Randy Arblaster, of Kennerdell and Terry D. Brest and his wife, Marjorie, of Sharpsville; a sister, Anna Fout and her husband, Gene, of Sharpsville; four grandchildren, Ross Stouffer, Kristina Jones, Walter Henderson II and Joey Phipps; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, David, Orlando, John and William Germano; and four sisters, Marion DiClaudio, Helen Germano, Betty Butler and Virginia DeVelli.
<B>BREST</B> — Visitation for Pauline Elizabeth Brest, who died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer. The funeral will follow at noon Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Dailey, pastor of Beth Emmanuel Fellowship Ministries, Sharon, officiating. Burial will be at Findley Cemetery in Findley Township, Mercer County.
