Nellie M. Crouch Boben Campbell
On Saturday, Nellie M. Crouch Boben Campbell of Grove City, formerly of Eau Claire, surrounded by her family, went home to be with the Lord.
She was born Sept. 5, 1931, to Lawrence and Isabelle Thompson Crouch.
Things she enjoyed throughout her life included visiting the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., witnessing John F. Kennedy's trip to Butler on his presidential campaign tour, making the trip to Washington, D.C., for President Bill Clinton's inauguration and spending time visiting with her sisters.
Nellie served as Eau Claire's Democratic Committee Woman for many years, at one time was a member of the West Sunbury American Legion Women's Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of the Valley Dam Sportsman Snowmobile Club.
Nellie's favorite pastime was cooking and caring for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Nellie is survived by her son, John W. Boben and his wife, Margaret, of Houston, Texas, her daughters, Connie Hillard and her husband, Ken, and Diane Rudolph and her husband, Jim, and son, Braden Campbell and his girlfriend, Terri Weston, all of Eau Claire; two stepdaughters, Lynette Sampson and her husband, Randy, of Warren, Ohio, and Kimberly J. Campbell of Hilliards; along with 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters; and various nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John W. Boben and William O. "Bill" Campbell; three brothers; and three sisters.
<B>CAMPBELL</B> — Visiting hours for Nellie M. Crouch Boben Campbell, who died Saturday, July 31, 2010, will be between 4 and 7 p.m. Tuesday with a service immediately following at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Jefferson Street, Butler.
