Marjorie L. Waggett, 82, of Butler died at 1:16 a.m. Thursday in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Born April 12, 1928, in Nemacolin, Greene County, she was the daughter of the late James Guesman and Margaret Guesman.

Mrs. Waggett was a homemaker and was Presbyterian by faith.

Mrs. Waggett's magnetic personality caused people to love her at first meeting and become part of her extended family.

She enjoyed baking cookies every holiday and decorating her home with hundreds of small characters each and every holiday.

Mrs. Waggett is survived by her husband Milroy A. "Bill" Waggett, whom she married Nov. 15, 1947; and also by two sons, William A. Waggett and his companion, Cheryl, and Richard A. and his wife, Joyce Waggett, both of Butler; three grandchildren, Christopher Waggett, Tiffany and her husband, Jeremy Wilson and Kayla Waggett; one great-grandchild, Ian Wilson; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Waggett was preceded in death by four sisters.

<B>WAGGETT</B> — Friends of Marjorie L. Waggett, who died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clark Sawyer of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Devotion in Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice Impatient Unit at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
