Dorothy I. Zang
Dorothy I. Zang, 96, of Chicora died Saturday at the Chicora Medical Center.
She was born June 7, 1914, in Butler, the daughter of the late Henry and Grace English McIntyre.
Dorothy was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She had formerly been a cook at the Howard Johnson restaurant in Butler for five years.
Mrs. Zang was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, AARP and the National Council of Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Earl F. "Curly" Zang, who she married Sept. 15, 1930, preceded her in death on May 10, 1986.
She is survived by five sons and their wives, Paul R. Zang of Butler, Floyd A. and Marcia Zang of Chicora, Robert A. and Hiroko Zang of Butler, John E. and Sharon Zang of Butler, and Alvin G. and Susan Zang of Herman; three daughters and their husbands, Dolores and Paul Fallecker of Driftwood, Judith and Robert Hornig of Florida and Linda Benson of Butler; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mary Ann Zang of El Paso, Texas; 33 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, two sisters and a great-grandson.
<B>ZANG — </B>Friends of Dorothy I. Zang, who died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
