Ann Farrington
Ann Breene Farrington, 66, of Eau Claire died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Ann was born Feb. 21, 1944, in Cleveland. She was the daughter of George and Jane Crawford Breene.
Ann was raised in Emlenton and attended the Emlenton Elementary School. She was a 1962 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg and the West Penn School of Nursing.
She was an auxiliary member of the Moose Lodge in Florida, the American Legion Auxiliary in Foxburg, the Wildcat Country Club and the Palmira Country Club, both in Florida.
She enjoyed shopping, and she was an especially affectionate and devoted grandmother. In addition to "Grandma," the children lovingly referred to her with many nicknames including, "Mimi Nanan," "Nina," "Nana" and "Gaga."
Ann is survived by her husband, Lawrence R. "Larry" Farrington, who she married in Foxburg on July 25, 1980. Also surviving are three daughters, Allison Flinn and her husband, Joe, of Naples, Fla., Christine McCall of Union City, and Janette Hensler and her husband, Jeff, of Butler; a son-in-law, Robert Milbert of Naples; two sisters, Elizabeth B. Gilger of Oil City and Sally Huxley and her husband, Robert, of New Hope; nine grandchildren, Tanner, Carter and Peyton McCall, Danny Alvarez, Meghan and Jessica Flinn, Schuyler and Lucas Hensler, and Emma Milbert; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Robin Farrington of Foxburg. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, John Gilger, Elizabeth Gilger, Jane Miller and her husband, Chris, Haley Huxley, Virginia Bowser and her husband, Gary, and Jamie Farrington and his wife, Melinda; great-nephews, Zachery Miller and Dalton Bowser; great-nieces, Aletha and Hannah Farrington; and a number of good friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, J. Richard "Bud" Gilger; a son-in-law, Daniel Alvarez; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virginia and Robert Farrington.
