Tammy S. Birckbichler, 52, of Butler passed away at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at her residence.

She was born Jan. 29, 1958, in Natrona Heights, the daughter of Joyce (Harbison) Varhola of Butler and the late John Bush.

She had volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a nurses' assistant and worked at various nursing homes.

Also surviving are four daughters, Nichole Cloherty of Butler, Nancy Birckbichler at home, Christina M. Cloherty of Butler and Terrilynn Mulniex of Pittsburgh; 10 grandchildren; her fiance, Jeff Bears of Butler; three sisters, Tina Marie Baptiste of East Butler, Renee Karch of Butler and Michelle Mato of Butler; a brother, Frank Bush of Grove City; and several nieces and nephews.
