Ann Prebula

Ann Prebula, 84, of Sedona, Ariz., and Butler, died Friday evening at Flagstaff Medical Center, Ariz.

Born in Butler, July 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine Semanco Morgus.

Ann moved to Sedona in September 2009 to be closer to her daughter and was an active member of the Sedona Winds Independent Living Center. But her heart always belonged in her beloved Butler, where she was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. She was also an active member of the church's Ladies Guild.

Ann enjoyed her time working at Highfield Hall, catering weddings and working the snack bar during bingo.

Surviving are her son, Gary J. Prebula of Los Angeles, Calif., and her daughter, Kim (Prebula) Meller of Sedona; one brother, John (Jim) Morgus of Johnson City, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Prebula, who died Jan. 29, 1976. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

<B>PREBULA —</B> Friends of Ann Prebula, who died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora with Father Robert Oravetz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.Parastas services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
