Slater

Patrick C. Slater, 54, of Tarentum died Friday in his home.

He was a 1974 graduate of Freeport High School and attended Edinboro College.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and outdoor activities. He loved animals and cooking for the entire family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Sparky" Slater, and a sister, Marcy Lynn Philpot.

He is survived by his mother, Marcy Slater of Sarver; a daughter, Abby Slater and her mother, Chris Hrabos, of Tarentum; one brother, Michael (Betsy) Slater of Sarver; one sister, Colleen (Jon) Richardson of Plant City, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>SLATER</B> — Visitation for Patrick C. Slater, who died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, 100 Main St., Saxonburg, where services will be at 7 p.m. following visitation with the Rev. David R. Brewer officiating. Burial will be private.Arrangements are by the <B>Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home</B>, Lower Burrell.In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to AA World Services, 900 Fifth Ave., 5th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or a charity of the donor's choice.
