Annabelle Leone Urban
Annabelle Leone Urban, 95, of Pittsburgh died early Monday morning at the Country Meadows Nursing Home in Brid-geville.
She was born in Butler, Nov. 6, 1914, a daughter of the late John and Ustina (Dunda) Blisak.
A homemaker, Annabelle had been a community volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program and several other community activities. She formerly had been a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.
She was a member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora and the Sisterhood of the Altar of the church.
She was the widow of Michael M. Leone, who died Jan. 23, 1987, and she later married Frank Urban, who died March 8, 1996. A brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Anna is remembered for her love and passion for her family, gardening, TV cooking shows, word puzzles, the Steelers, politics and her priceless sense of humor.
Annabelle was truly "the wind beneath our wings." All who knew her feel blessed by her life and will cherish her memory forever.
Surviving are two children, Michael Leone and his wife, Kathleen, of Cecil Township, Washington County, and Evie Hagerman and her husband, Rick, of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren, Andrew Leone, Jody (Steve) Luke and Michael and Stephen Hagerman; three great-grandchildren, Annalee, Tyler and Lauren Luke; and two sisters, Tillie Porter, of Burlington, N.J., and Helen Buckowsky, of Lyndora.
<B>LEONE URBAN </B>— Family and friends of Annabelle Leone Urban, who died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, are invited to attend funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora, PA 16045. The Rev. Joseph D. Wargo, her pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at North Side Cemetery, Butler.
