Patrick Grabowski
Patrick "Pat" or "Crazy Horse" Grabowski, 70, died peacefully Saturday afternoon at his home with his family by his side.
Pat was born March 17, 1940, to Biaggia Badalato in Pittsburgh. He was later adopted by Edward Grabowski.
Following graduation from McKeesport High School, Pat proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Saufley at Key West, Fla.
He retired in August 2000 as a crane operator in the melt shop at Armco Steel Corp., where he had 34 years of service. After being employed as a driver for the Butler Auto Auction for about a year, Pat wanted to help others, so he began assisting the elderly by driving a bus for BART, where he was employed until his illness.
Pat was an avid bowler. He bowled on the Armco A League for 30 years and also for Mike Kelly Automotive. In addition, he was a member of the Tanglewood Center and the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora.
He enjoyed watching the Steelers and Penguins. He spent much of his free time traveling to visit his grandchildren.
He married Agnes Beck on June 26, 1964. He is survived by Agnes, his wife of 46 years; and five children, Joyce (Teddy) Terzakos of Staten Island, N.Y., Vince (Heidi) Grabowski of Racine, Wis., Debra (Thomas) Corona of Boca Raton, Fla., Renee Hall of Racine, Wis., and Jennifer Grabowski of Butler. He is loved tremendously and will be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren, Armand Grabowski, Reese Grabowski, Anthony Terzakos, Salvatore "Sam," Annie and Kyle Corona, Raymond "Ray" and Daniel Hall, and Michael "Mikey" Grabowski.
<B>GRABOWSKI</B> — Friends of Patrick "Pat" or "Crazy Horse" Grabowski, who died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
