Frank E. Hartle
Frank E. Hartle, 69, of Niles, Ohio, passed away Saturday at his home.
Frank was born April 7, 1941, in Butler, the son of Charles and Annabelle (Gladd) Hartle.
He retired in 1999 from the Lordstown Assembly Plant of General Motors after 33 years of service.
Frank attended the Niles Presbyterian Church and was a retired member of the UAW Local 1112.
Frank enjoyed playing the organ and guitar. He loved to cook and was a chef for many restaurants in his area. He also loved to play cards, board games, was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning tomatoes, riding his motorcycle in his younger days and remodeling his home all by himself. Most of all, Frank loved to spend time raising his boxers, Cammie and Rocky.
Frank was a loving father of three daughters, Mary Alice Bays of Niles, Patricia Ann DeAngelo of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Margie Rassega of Mineral Ridge, Ohio. Frank also leaves one brother, James Hartle of Niles; one half brother, Dennis Hartle of Butler; his stepmother, Mary (Orlando) Hartle of Butler; five grandsons, Frank, Tim, Mark, P.J. and Pierce; four granddaughters, Amanda, Brittany, Crystal and Paige; three great-granddaughters, Rachel, Lexie and Kalie; four great-grandsons, Joey, Christopher, Tyler and Nathan; one great-grandson due in January; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his mother, who passed away when Frank was 18 months old, and his father, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Bud Hartle; and one sister; Mary Alice Coretsky.
