Dale Myers, 94, of Zelienople died Friday at UPMC Passavant hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Oct. 24, 1915, in Princeton, Lawrence County, he was the son of George and Daisy White Myers.

Mr. Myers was a 1933 graduate of Princeton High School, where he was class president.

He was employed as a truck driver by Prior's Milk Co. in Portersville. He moved to Zelienople in 1945, where he was employed by C.W. Frishkorn and Zeigler Roofing and Heating.

Mr. Myers was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church in Zelienople for 65 years and was an ordained elder and choir member

He was a former member of the Zelienople Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the park board that raised money for construction of the pool at the Zelienople Community Park.

He was an avid golfer and a member of the Tri-Borough Golf League for many years. Mr. Myers enjoyed walking, yard work, church activities, and being with family and his many friends. He also especially loved sports.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Sue (Myers) Volz of Zelienople; a grandson, Carl William "Chip" Volz of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Mary M. "Peggy" Jones of New Castle; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61½ years, Ruth Devona (Stickel) Myers, who he married Sept. 9, 1939, and who died March 18, 2001; six brothers; and a sister.

<B>MYERS</B> — Friends of Dale Myers, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Park Presbyterian Church, 115 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063. Everyone is to meet at church.
