Mary Nemceff

Mary Nemceff, 85, of Rochester, N.Y., formerly of Steelton Avenue, Butler, died Saturday at the Friendly Home in Rochester.

Born July 14, 1925, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Russin) Dimun Sr.

She was a homemaker, mother and worked at the Burger Hut on Main Street for 20 years, all while devoting her life to caring for her handicapped son, John.

Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.

Surviving are a daughter, Judith Bolt and her husband Keith, of Victor, N.Y.; a son, John Nemceff of Waterloo, N.Y.; a brother, Paul Dimun and a sister, Helen Dimun, both of Butler; two sisters-in-law, Ann Nemceff of Butler and Josefa Nemceff of Austria; and a close family friend, Donna Lechner of Rochester, N.Y.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Nemceff, who she married Oct. 13, 1946, and who died Oct. 21, 2002; and her three brothers, Michael Dimun Jr., and John and Harry Dimun.

<B>Nemceff</B>— Friends of Mary Nemceff, who died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday. Parastas services follow.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. Robert Oravetz, pastor, will officiate.
