Seneca teacher found dead had been shot
HARMONY — State police say a Seneca Valley High School teacher found dead in his home a day after he allegedly reported a break-in had been shot.
State police in Butler haven't identified a suspect or charged anyone in the slaying of 48-year-old Steven Russo, a statistics teacher at Seneca Valley.
Police say Russo's daughter found him dead when she came to visit Wednesday morning.
Russo shared the home with his girlfriend, whose daughter says Russo reported a break-in on Tuesday. He reportedly came home from lunch to find an intruder who ran away.
Police found signs of a forced entry, but haven't determined whether that incident and Russo's death are related.
Russo is a 1980 Butler High School graduate.
