Wayne A. Giesler
Wayne A. "Hart" Giesler, 75, of Sarver passed away Monday at Allegheny General Hospital after a short illness.
Born March 15, 1935, in Marwood, he was the son of Albert "Singer" and Frieda K. (Lang) Giesler.
Wayne graduated from Winfield High School. He worked as personnel manager for Pullman Standard for 28 years and for Northwest Savings Bank for 14 years.
For 51 years, Wayne had a country band named "Wayne Hart and Pure Country."
He was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church of Cabot, a lifetime member of the Lyndora and Brackenridge American Legion posts, the White Star Fraternal Society in Freeport, the VFW in Freeport, the Sarver Veterans' Club, the Tarentum Eagles, and the Slovak Club in North Vandergrift.
Wayne enjoyed baseball, the Pittsburgh Steelers, country music and spending time with his family. He loved to entertain and make people happy.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Honey (Lincoln) Giesler; his two sons, Wayne (Toni) Giesler Jr. of Fenelton and Cody (Stacy) Giesler of Center Township; two daughters, Penny (Denny Bacher) Dietz of Cabot and Heidi (Mark) Bringenberg of Sarver; six grandchildren, Kelly (Rick) Kimsey, Kayla (Jeremy) Dietz, Dakota Bringenberg, Tanner Bringenberg, Kamryn Giesler and Zachary Wayne Giesler; a great-grandchild, Adelyn Gugino; one brother, Francis (Lorraine) Giesler; two sisters, Glenda Giesler and Karen (Tom) Eurich; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daryl Giesler; a granddaughter, Megan Dietz; and one great-granddaughter, Lillie Kay Kimsey.
<B>GIESLER</B> — Friends of Wayne A. (Hart) Giesler, who died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, will be received at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.
