Harold Patterson

Harold Wayne Patterson, 60, of East Brady died Wednesday at the VNA In-patient Hospice in Butler.

Born Sept. 14, 1950, in Green Township, Indiana County, he was the son of the late Blair Patterson and Jaminia Shearer Patterson of Indiana.

Mr. Patterson was a 1969 graduate of Purchase Line High School. He then graduated from the Vale Tech of Blairsville in 1970.

He served four years in the Army.

Mr. Patterson worked as a welder and coal miner for Rosebud Mining.

He was married on June 25, 1994, on a pontoon boat on the Allegheny River in East Brady to Carol Kriebel, who survives.

Mr. Patterson was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church of Chicora. He was also a member of the Beagle Club of Adrian and the American Legion of Bradys Bend.

Mr. Patterson enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his dog, Festus, at the Beagle Hunt Club.

He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Carol Patterson of East Brady; his mother, Jaminia Patterson of Indiana; his three sons, Brian Troutman and his wife, Gretchen, of Freeport; Scott Troutman and his wife, Crystal, of Karns City; and Jason Troutman and his wife, Jodi, of Cowansville; and seven grandchildren, Zane, Brianna, Lukas, Jayda, Joel, Sebastian and Cheyenne.

Also surviving is one sister, Helen Henry of Cherry Tree; two nieces, Christine Henry Payne and her husband, Mark, of Cherry Tree; and Rebecca Henry of Maryland; one nephew, Daniel Henry, who was like a son to him, and his wife, Cheryl, of Cherry Tree; and two great nieces, Kayla and Jessika Payne, both of Cherry Tree.

He was preceded in death by his father, Blair Patterson, who died on Nov. 13, 1996; his aunt, Nellie Lockard Fair on Jan. 5, 2010; his father-in-law, Eugene Kriebel; and two grandchildren at birth.

<B>PATTERSON</B> Relatives and friends of Harold Wayne Patterson, who died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B> in Rimersburg. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of the Missionary Alliance Church of Chicora, officiating. Private interment will be in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
