Diana G. Dambach

Diana Gail “Dee” Dambach, 64, of Chippewa Township, Beaver County, went home Tuesday to be with her Lord and Savior following a two-year courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

Born Aug. 18, 1946, in Grove City, she was the daughter of C. Robert and Helen Fern Hillard.

Diana graduated from Indiana (Pa.) University in 1969 with a master's in home economics.

She taught for more than 35 years in the Blackhawk School District, where she initiated the preschool program in child development classes. She retired from teaching in June 2006.

Before retirement, she became a Creative Memories consultant and enjoyed spending time teaching others about scrapbooking well into her retirement.

She was a member and former elder and deacon at the College Hill Presbyterian Church.

Diana cherished time spent with family and especially enjoyed time with her granddaughters. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, wonderful friend and devoted teacher.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Dean R. Dambach.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Edward C. Dambach; a daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen L. and Steven Fritsch of Hudson, Ohio; her granddaughters, Hallie S. and Adrienne “Addy” A. Fritsch; a sister, Brenda S. Hillard of Grove City; a brother, Carl A. Hillard of Garden City, S.C.; her mother-in-law, Marian C. Dambach; a sister-in-law, Patty K. (Thomas) Bishop; and nieces and nephews, Kimberly (Kirk) Haberman, Timothy Bishop, Robyn Bishop, Abigail Bishop and Allison (Ryan) Boyles.

<B>DAMBACH</B> — Friends of Diana Gail “Dee” Dambach, who died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the <B>HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, </B>3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the College Hill Presbyterian Church, 34th Street and 5th Avenue, Beaver Falls, with her pastor, the Rev. Dennis D. Burnett, officiating. Private entombment will be in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma/Chronic Leukemia Program, Cleveland Clinic, R-35, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195.Information also is available at www.hillandkunselman.com.
