SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior kicker C.J. Bahr will participate in an All-American all-star football game Saturday at the University of Minnesota.
The game will feature players from Division II and III schools. This is part of a three-game event at the university's indoor sports complex.
The games were originally scheduled for the Metrodome until its roof collapsed.
Bahr is one of nine PSAC players participating in the games.
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior center Brandon Fusco was named to The Associated Press Little All-America team.The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Seneca Valley graduate was one of two PSAC players named to the team, joining Bloomsburg running back Franklyn Quiteh.The AP Little All-America team consists of players from NCAA Division II and NAIA.

Not only did the reigning Super Bowl MVP turn around the Saints' football fortunes and bring the city its first NFL championship in February, he's become a civic leader as his adoptive hometown recovers from a time of turmoil and suffering.That record of accomplishment is why the down-to-earth quarterback was voted the 2010 Male Athlete of the Year, chosen by members of The Associated Press.There were 176 ballots submitted from U.S. news organizations that make up the AP's membership. Brees received 48 votes, while the 2009 AP Male Athlete of the Year, NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, finished second with 31.
INDIANA, Pa. — Indiana (Pa.) University football coach Lou Tepper was fired Friday.“Our football program needs to move in a new direction,” IUP athletic director Frank Condino said.The Crimson Hawks finished 6-5 this season and 11-11 over the past two years. Tepper was 36-18 in five years at IUP. He is 101-75-2 as a head coach overall, including stints at Edinboro and Illinois.
