David G. Murphey
David G. Murphey, 84, of Virginia Beach, Va., passed away Tuesday at his home.
Born in Butler to the late Ethel and Rolland Murphey, David was retired from Armco Steel, where he was a bricklayer for 21 years.
He was a member of the Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach.
David was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ruth H. Ihlenfeld Murphey.
He is survived by two daughters, Carla Murphey Morrisette and her husband, Alan, and Mariann Murphey Goliff and her husband, Keith, all of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Adam and Annie Morrisette of Old Town, Maine, Katrina Walters of Butler and Jacob and Marena Murphey and Janna Goliff, all of Virginia Beach; nieces and nephews; and four sisters-in-law.
He also was predeceased by his son, Bud Murphey; a grandson, Shawn Murphey; and a brother, Clair Murphey.

John Price officiating.
