Elizabeth Miskolczi
Mrs. Elizabeth Bakty Miskolczi, 94, formerly of Ellport died peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday at 3:23 p.m. at New Haven Court in Zelienople.
Mrs. Miskolczi was born on Aug. 12, 1916, in Brownsville to the late Stephen Bakty and Martha Dorka Bakty. She was married to the late Stephen Miskolczi for 61 years until the time of his death, Nov. 30, 1994.
Elizabeth was a member of the Ellport Presbyterian Church for 75 years and attended the Calvin Presbyterian Church while residing in Zelienople.
She belonged to the Hungarian Home and the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, the senior citizens bowling group and the local AARP where she served as treasurer for two years.
She enjoyed activities at Newhaven especially with the Newhaven Court Bakers and Kitchen Band. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking and baking for her loving family.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law, Delores Bishop of Franklin Township, and Donna and Robert DeLucia of Mars; one daughter- in-law, Penny Elliot of Ellwood City; four granddaughters, Mrs. Sam (Amy) Battaglia of Ohio, Mrs. Joseph (Beth) Beiter of Ellwood City, Mrs. Kevin (Robin) Peters of California and Mrs. John (Sharon) Ogozalek of Beaver Falls; two step grandchildren, Derek (Cindie) DeLucia and Robert (Vanessa) DeLucia, Jr., both of Cranberry Township; and 13 great-grandchildren, Jamie, Marissa, Gino, Addison, Connor, Josephine, Jackson, Tyler, Eliza Belle, Jessica, Bella, Derek and Gina.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stephen Miskolczi; a son, Robert Miskolczi, in 1995; a son-in- law, Bruce Bishop; one brother, John Bakty; and two sisters, Julia Locher and Mary (Takacs) Skvarla.
<B>MISKOLCZI</B> — Visitation for Elizabeth Miskolczi, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Samuel Teolis Funeral Home</B>.Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Internment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Ellport Presbyterian Church or to the Calvin Presbyterian Church, Grandview Avenue, Zelienople.The family requests you view the obituary and sign the guestbook at http://www.teolisfuneralhome.com.
