Steven W. Russo
Steven W. Russo, 48, of Butler passed away Wednesday.
He was born in Chambersburg on July 23, 1962, and was the son of John J. and Joan Tarcha Russo.
He was a graduate of Slippery Rock University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics.
Steven was a teacher in the Seneca Valley School District for 20 years.
At Seneca Valley, he taught college math, which was affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh. Steven also taught statistics and honors calculus at Seneca Valley. He was the head of the Math Department at Seneca Valley High School.
Steven was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel R.C. Church and the Pennsylvania State Education Association. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving during Desert Storm.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Codispot Russo; one son, Philip S. Russo, at home; one daughter, Alison R. Russo, at home; his parents, John J. and Joan Tarcha Russo of Butler; three brothers, John M. Russo of Latrobe, Jayme A. Russo and his wife, Jude, of Butler, and Brian C. Russo of Butler.

Russo, who died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Saint Michael the Archangel R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. James Dolan officiating.Entombment will be in Saint Michael Cemetery Mausoleum.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel R.C.
