Monteleone

Amy A. Monteleone, 42, of Butler passed away Friday at her residence.

She was born in Butler on Sept. 13, 1969.

She was the former office manager for the architectural firm 4-Most Group. She was also formerly employed at Servistar.

She received the 2011 AK Steel “Steel Magnolia” Award and the 2011 Giant Eagle Karen Shapira Survivor Award. In both 2010 and 2011, she was the top fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

She co-founded, along with Bonnie Forsythe, “Spring for a Cure,” and raised $84,000 for the Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh affiliate and for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She was on the Susan G. Komen Pink Honor Roll.

Active with the Butler Memorial Hospital Breast Cancer Support Group, Amy counseled newly-diagnosed breast cancer patients, offering them information, strength and courage.

She was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one son, Matthew Stalker of Butler; her mother and stepfather, Marcia Armstrong Cornibe and Paul Cornibe Jr. of Butler; her father and stepmother, Arthur D. Monteleone and Peggy L. Monteleone of Butler; one brother, Matthew D. Monteleone and his wife, Melissa, of Butler; one nephew, Nicholas Monteleone of Butler; her step-grandmother, Josephine Cornibe of Butler; four step-brothers, Bradley Cornibe and his wife, Karen, of Butler, Brian Cornibe and his wife, Melissa, of Drexel Hill, Pa., Rodney D. Rosen and his wife, Marcy, of Butler and Randey L. Rosen of Butler; three step-sisters, Vickie Laughridge and her husband, James, of Virginia Beach, Va., Tracy Schaffner and her husband, Tony, of Butler and Leslie Cornibe of Butler; and 13 step-nieces and step-nephews.

<B>MONTELEONE</B> — There will be no visitation for Amy A. Monteleone, who died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev.
