Rowan 60th anniversary

Loretta and Homer Clair Rowan

Homer Clair and Loretta Rowan of Sarver celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family gathering.

Rowan married the former Loretta Bowser on Jan. 24, 1951, at the Church of the Brethren in Natrona Heights.

They have eight children, Tina Babinsack of Sarver, Lucinda Thompson of Sarver, Jesse Rowan of Sarver, Ernest Rowan of Virginia, Minn., Kathleen Duvé of Sarver, Judith Edinboro of Butler, Joy Caporah of Sarver and John Rowan of Punxsutawney.

They also have 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Rowan is retired from Liberty Mirror Works in Brackenridge. He plays harmonica with the Rosston Group Country Singers and is a member of the Armstrong County League of Arts.Mrs. Rowan is retired from Duco Cermaics in Saxonburg.The Rowans attend Lighthouse Fellowship Center in Sarver.
