Rosemary Patz

Rosemary (Joyce) Yockey Patz, 86, of Butler passed away at 8:45 p.m. Thursday

at her home.Born Jan. 17, 1924, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Byron J. Yockey and

Alice E. Guiney Yockey.Mrs. Patz was a member of St. John's Reformed Church where she was a member of Women of Faith.She worked as a Bell Telephone operator in New Kensington.Mrs. Patz is survived by three daughters, Elaine J. Cavanaugh of Butler; Frances E. Patz and her partner, Lezlee A. Spink, of Butler, and Wendy L. Watson and her husband, David, of Bellevue; the children of Elaine Cavanaugh, Dr. Ryan M. Cavanaugh and Meghan R. Cavanaugh; and the children of Dale William Patz.Mrs. Patz was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Patz, who she married on Jan. 15, 1949, and who passed away on Dec. 15, 1997; one son, Dale William Patz; one son-in-law, Michael Cavanaugh; and one brother, Bud Yockey.

<B>PATZ</B> — Friends of Rosemary (Joyce) Yockey Patz, who died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dr. Robert Peterson of St. John's Reformed Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lifesteps Adult Day Care Services, 383 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001 or to Amedisys Hospice Services, 240 Pullman Square, Suite 225, Butler, PA 16001.
