Ritson

William A. Ritson, 89, of Butler passed away at 5:37 a.m. Monday at Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington.

He was born Feb. 16, 1921, in DuBois, the son of the late Joe Ritson and the late Helen (McCracken) Ritson.

William was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Meridian, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

William enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping.

Surviving are three sons, Charles Ritson of Texas, William J. (Linda) Ritson of Butler and Larry (Beverly) Ritson of Erie; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph (Mae) Ritson of Butler and Albert Ritson of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Ritson, who died Oct. 25, 2001; and a brother.
