Albert J. Gardina, 77, of Butler passed away at 6:55 a.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Butler, the son of the late Bart Gardina and the late Frances Spagnola Gardina.

Albert was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He retired from Logan's Candy Co. He also was known as the Candyman at the Clearview Flea Market.

Surviving are his daughter, Frances H. (Howard) Strobel of Butler, and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Joseph Strobel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachael L. Williams Gardina, who died July 31, 1996, and two brothers.

<B>GARDINA — </B>Friends of Albert J. Gardina who died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>YOUNG FUNERAL HOME</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
