BUTLER TWP — A number of students at Butler County Community College's were asked to share their definition of a romantic Valentine's Day date. Here's what they said:

‘I would like my boyfriend to cook me a romantic dinner with candles and everything. Then we could curl up on the couch and watch a romantic movie. I think that would be perfect.'

‘I would dress up and try to be polite, and take my date to a fancy place to eat.'

Tyler Colwell, 19, Clarion

‘Roses are the first thing I would do, to show her my appreciation. I would like to surprise her with something, too, and take her someplace nice to eat and share a Valentine's Day activity afterward.'

Kevin Rummel, 18, Slippery Rock

‘I would like going out somewhere nice to eat, plus flowers, or a gift, or chocolate — whatever.'

Amanda Green, 18, Butler

‘I would buy my date chocolates, flowers and take her somewhere nice to eat, maybe go to a cute movie afterward.'

Chris Felock, 20, Butler

‘I would get my date some roses and take her to a fancy place to eat, and of course pick up the check.'

Brandon Crawford, 20, East Brady

‘I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. I don't think there should be just one day set aside for romance. I think it should be everyday.'

Danielle Rose, 18, Cranberry Township

‘I would like to go to the beach and watch the sunset, but here in Butler, I'd go to a fancy dinner instead.'
