Geraldine Sherman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Geraldine Louise Sherman, 81, on Wednesday while living with her son in Butler.
She was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Beaver Falls, the daughter of the late Harold and Florence (Bowser) Powell.
Geraldine owned and operated the Light Touch Ceramic Shop and retired after 26 years from Napco.
She was a former member of the Covenant United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Amber Gaye (Edward) Day of Butler and Deborah Lee (John A.) Gannon of Pittsburgh; two sons, Jeffrey Grant (Nancy) Sherman of McMurray and Terry Cyrl Sherman, with whom she made her home; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Powell of Butler.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Sherman Jr., who died Nov. 3, 1994; two sons, Clyde Sherman III and Clayton Daniel Sherman; a grandchild; and a sister.
