McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, will be the site of a Beauty of Winter hike, 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 12. Meet at Kildoo Picnic Area. The moderate guided hike will be weather dependent, but those participating should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Helpful would be binoculars, a walking stick and a camera.
