Patricia Ann Illig
Patricia Ann (Young) Illig, 70, of Butler died peacefully Saturday in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Born April 12, 1940, in Brackenridge, she was a daughter of the late Marlin and the late Harriette (Hall) Young.
Patricia was a 1958 graduate of Har-Brack High School.
Patricia was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church of Butler, where she served as a deacon for four years.
She was employed by J.C. Penney in Lower Burrell for 17 years.
Patricia taught others and lived by the Golden Rule of treating others like you would want to be treated. Her interests included spoiling her grandchildren, traveling to Myrtle Beach, S.C., collecting antiques and having her dog, Elke, by her side.
Survivors include her husband, James Illig; a son, Michael Edward (Sherri) McNabb of New Kensington; a stepdaughter, Sue (Dean) Harvey of Palmyra, Pa.; a stepson, Todd Illig of Sarver, grandchildren, Rachel and Madeline McNabb of Columbus, Ohio, and Beth Ann Harvey of Palmyra; her first husband, Edward McNabb of Allegheny Township; and siblings, Marlene (Charles) Marchlewski of Plum, Irene Anzaldi of Natrona Heights and Ronald (Kathleen) Young of Houston.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Young; and her brother-in-law, John Anzaldi.
<B>ILLIG </B>— Visitation for Patricia Ann (Young) Illig, who died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the <B>ROSS G.
