Rosann “Betty” Covert, 92, of Zelienople, formerly of Ross Township, died Friday.

Born July 8, 1918, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Ludwig and Anna (Koch) Ernst.

Mrs. Covert loved playing cards, especially Quiddler. She was a very proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith (Robert) Olejar and Linda (William) Hynes, both of Portersville; six grandchildren, Lynn Stewart, Shari Craven, Beth Crawley, Jason Olejar, Laurie Pfaff and William J. Hynes; six great grandchildren, Jamie Craven, Samantha Stewart, Stacy Crawley, Paul and Jacob Pfaff and William Turk; and one great-granddaughter, Brianna Neirhoff.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jay H. Covert, who died in 2006.
