Anne T. Russin, 89, of Butler died at 4:59 p.m. Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot with her family by her side.

Born Dec. 7, 1921, in Lyndora, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Duffer and Susan Vasil Duffer.

Mrs. Russin attended St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and sang in the choir.

She was a member of the Blazing Star Choral.

Mrs. Russin was a graduate of Slippery Rock University and a Penn State post graduate.

She taught school in Moon Township in Allegheny County and elementary school in Lyndora.

She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Retired Teachers Association.

Mrs. Russin is survived by her husband, Andrew Russin, who she married June 25, 1947; one daughter, Michele and her husband, Larry Minto, of Wilmington, Del.; one sister, Mary Duffer of Butler; and one granddog, Petie.

<B>RUSSIN</B> — Friends of Anne T. Russin, who died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora at 11 a.m. Friday with Father Robert F. Oravetz, church pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of All Faiths Mausoleum at Greenlawn Burial Estates.A parastas service will be at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pennsylvania, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or to the Butler County Human Society, 1027 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
