Allegheny Power reporting outages in city, Slippery Rock
Allegheny Power is reporting several electrical outages in Butler County.
Malfunctioning overhead wires knocked out power to Butler’s West Side just before 1 p.m.
Line problems and a blown line fuse have caused outages in Slippery Rock as well.
The company estimates all repairs to be completed by about 4 p.m.
Central Electric Cooperative in Parker also has reported outages for about 500 customers in its seven-county coverage area, with most of those being in Butler and Tionesta counties.
Those repairs have been ongoing since a rain and electrical storm hit the region about 2 a.m. today.
