Joan L. Klein
Joan L. Klein, 66, of East Brady died Thursday at her home.
She was born March 24, 1944, in Browns-ville to Winton S. and Naomi A. Hess Pollock.
She was a graduate of Grove City High School and Grove City College. She also attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was a devoted follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was in her glory in the presence of her 14 grandchildren.
She taught second grade at Bradys Bend Elementary School for three years. She then substitute taught for many years.
She was a member of the East Brady United Methodist Church where she was the church secretary and Sunday school teacher.
She was a board member of the Hoffman Medical Center and a volunteer for the East Brady after school program.
She is survived by her husband, John Klein, the mayor of East Brady, who she married July 9, 1966; two sons, Michael Klein and his wife, Amy, of East Brady, and Kyle Klein and his wife, Charlene, of Sligo; three daughters, Erin Hindman and her husband, Eric, of Chicora, Megan McAmmond and her husband, Timothy, of Innisfail, Alberta, Canada, and Gwynn Lamm and her husband, Frederick, of Mason, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, Shaun Klein, Shaylah Klein, Mackenzie Hindman, Riley Hindman, Donovan Hindman, Delaney Hindman, Ansley Hindman, Benjamin McAmmond, Zachery McAmmond, Jordan Lamm, Ian Lamm, Kennedy Lamm, Kylee Klein and Owen Klein; one sister, Nelle Kost and her husband, Robert, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Audrey Pollock of Grove City; her mother-in-law, Sylvia Klein of Pittsburgh; five cousins; two nieces; and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Strickler Pollock.
<B>KLEIN</B> — Friends of Joan L. Klein, who died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the East Brady United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Russell, pastor of the church, officiating. Private burial will be at St. Eusebius Church.Memorials made be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
