Judy A. Pyle
Judy A. Pyle, 67, of Chicora died Saturday morning at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning following a bravely fought eight-year battle with kidney disease.
Judy was born in Kittanning July 2, 1943. She was the daughter of Alice Kravenor Patton Toy of Kittanning and the late John Patton.
Mrs. Pyle was a Protestant.
She enjoyed picnics and family gatherings, buying gifts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and listening to WISR on the radio while she cleaned her home. Her most favorite time of the year was Christmas.
She was married Oct. 24, 1959, in McGrann, Armstrong County, to Jack L. Pyle. He survives.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by six children, Jacqueline Shelatree and her husband, Rodger, of Prospect, Jodi Williams and her husband, David, of Chicora, John Pyle and his wife, Amy, of Harrisville, James Pyle of Butler, Jeffrey Pyle and his wife, Barb, of Petrolia and Jamie Pyle and his wife, Dawn, of Chicora; 16 grandchildren, Nathan Clauser, Jennifer Campbell, Nicole Schoentag, Justin Pyle, Cory Pyle, Taylor Pyle, Jesse Pyle, Zachary Pyle, Benjamin Pyle, Jacob Pyle, Samantha Pyle, Joshua Williams, Katelynn Williams, Lucas Williams, Cody Pyle and Christopher Pyle; two step-grandchildren, Matt and Alex Shelatree; and eight great-grandchildren, Parker Clauser, Riley Clauser, Gage Campbell, Reed Campbell, Zane Campbell, Ayden Schoentag, Hunter Schoentag and Isabella Pyle. Mrs. Pyle was anxiously anticipating the arrival of three more great-grandchildren this spring and summer.Also surviving are three brothers, John Patton of Ford City, Robert Patton and his wife, Diane, of East Brady and Bill Patton of Kittanning; as well a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Patton.

Pyle, who died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, will be received at the <B>Hile Funeral Home of Chicora</B>, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Mrs. Pyle's brother-in-law, the Rev. Jerry Pyle, a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church pastor, officiating.
