Phyllis L. Lackey
Phyllis L. Lackey, 70, of Butler died at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday in Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born July 24, 1940, in Adrian, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Ernest Rodgers and Ceola Angeline Jack Rodgers.
Mrs. Lackey was a homemaker and a devoted grandmother.
She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lackey was a former member of the Nuts and Bouquet bowling leagues and the Bow Bender Card Club. She enjoyed bowling, camping and spending time with family.
Mrs. Lackey is survived by her husband, William Charles Lackey, who she married Sept. 19, 1959; one son and his wife, Jeffrey W. and Roxanne Smith Lackey of Chicora; three daughters, Lori Eakin and her husband, Kent, of Butler, Deborah Kaylor and her husband, Braden, of Butler and Lee Ann Thomas and her husband, James “Jimmie” of Karns City; nine grandchildren, Nathan Eakin and his wife, Rachel, Tricia Eakin Roth, Allison Eakin, Justin Lackey, Kelsey Lackey, Lisa Kaylor, Jenna Kaylor, Jill Kaylor and Trevor Thomas; and three great-grandchildren, Lane and Isaac Eakin and Isabella Roth; two sisters, Reba Doutt and Carol Mowery; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lackey was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Rodgers, and one granddaughter, Chelsey Lackey.
<B>LACKEY </B>— Friends of Phyllis L. Lackey, who died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Gwilt and Pastor David Maitland of the First Baptist Church officiating.
