Leona 'Dolly' A. Cooper Murphy
Leona “Dolly” A. Cooper Murphy, 89, of Cabot passed away Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born Dec. 11, 1921, in Sarver, she was the daughter of Howard Cooper and Alpha Lerner Cooper.
Dolly was a 1940 graduate of Winfield High School.
She was a clerk at the former Maurhoff's Store in Saxonburg for 27 years.
She was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a brother, Reldon W. Cooper of Saxonburg; a sister-in-law, Joan Cooper; and nieces and a nephew, Diana (Rich) Weleski, Linda (Ron) Mallonee, Howard (Jane) Cooper, Lora Saiber and LuAnn Slater.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Murphy, on Aug. 29, 1999; and a brother, Leland Cooper.
<B>MURPHY </B>— Friends of Leona “Dolly” A. Cooper Murphy, who died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brewer officiating.
