Wilbert L. Ray

Wilbert L. Ray, 96, of Worthington died Thursday at the Kittanning Care Center.

Born Oct. 17, 1914, in Nichola, Armstrong County, he was the son of James Ray and Mary (Lamison) Ray.

He had been a machinist and farmer.

Mr. Ray was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Butler.

He enjoyed farming and gardening.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon (Patricia) Ray of Butler and Daryl (Laura) Ray of Worthington; numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and his siblings, Richard, Perry, George, Donnie, Martha, Shirley and Beatrice.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ray, in 2003; three brothers, Herb, Bill and Adam; and two sisters, Sara and Elsie.

<B>RAY</B> — Friends of Wilbert L. Ray, who died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home</B>, Worthington. Visitation also will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. David Panther, his church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
