The Associated Artists of Butler County will host the Slippery Rock University senior exhibits April 8 to 16 with a reception at 6:30 p.m. April 14. Artwork is being sought for the annual Butler County high school exhibit set for April 22 to May 6 and the 76th annual spring show set for May 13 to June 10 at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is free. Call 724-283-6922.

Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., continues its Indian film series with “Something is Happening” at 6 p.m. April 8, presented by Sunita Peacock from Slippery Rock University. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment only Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8; children must be accompanied by an adult. Tours are led by trained docents and are available with advance notice. The museum also has a gift shop specializing in objects relating to China and Japan.
