John McClymonds
John Perry McClymonds of Cranberry Township was chosen for eternal life with God Sunday. John lost his lifelong battle with asthma and respiratory complications at UPMC Passavant hospital.
John was born June 28, 1948, in New Castle. He was the son of Eldora Fisher McClymonds and the late John Dale McClymonds.
John was the founder and president of the Cranberry Supply Co. and partners in Dale McClymonds Inc. and McClymonds Development.
He was a lifetime member of the Mountville Presbyterian Church in Portersville. John was a member of the North Hills Lodge 716 F&AM.
John enjoyed traveling, collecting small-scale construction replicas and visiting local delivery sites.
Without a doubt, the focus of John's lifework was his family, especially his adored nine grandchildren.
Mr. McClymonds is survived by his wife, Neva Ruby McClymonds, who he married Nov. 17, 1973; his mother, Eldora Fisher McClymonds; three children, Kathy and her husband, Edward, Mansfield of Cranberry Township, Johnny and his wife, Erin, McClymonds of Cranberry Township and Jaclyn and her partner, Joel Cal, of Gilbert, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, Collin Edward, Rowan Olivia and Kendall Lynn Mansfield, Liam Perry, Lachlan John, Quinn Patrick and Fiona Aileen McClymonds and Jayla Neva and Joel Cal III; one brother, Thomas McClymonds and his wife, Margaret, of Portersville; one brother-in-law, Richard Wallace of Lady Lake, Fla.; two uncles; two aunts; several brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grandnephews; and many close family friends.
John was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Barbara Wallace; and nephew, Thomas M. McClymonds.
<B>MCCLYMONDS </B>— Friends of John Perry McClymonds, who died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mountville Presbyterian Church, 2795 Mountville Road, Portersville, with the Rev. Donald M. Hurray, officiating.
