Joseph D. DiSalvo Jr., 34, of Land O'Lakes, Fla., formerly of Cranberry Township, died unexpectedly Feb. 21 from an allergic reaction to food while serving as a civilian employee of the Defense Intelligence Agency for the U.S. Army at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany.

Born Oct. 15, 1976, in Oceanside, Calif., he was the son of Joseph D. and Acela (Vidal) DiSalvo Sr. of Cranberry Township.

Joseph was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in New Mexico, Europe and Kuwait.

He enjoyed Formula One racing and loved solo racing his Subaru STI Impreza. Joseph also enjoyed fishing and playing inline hockey both as a civilian and while serving in the Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons, DeVaughn Tae DiSalvo and Dominic Anthony DiSalvo, both of Zelienople; a sister, Jan Valerie Williams (Jason) of Ellwood City; and his paternal grandfather, Herman DiSalvo of Butler. He also is survived by his former wife, Priscilla Marie Spear of Zelienople; his companion, Col. Gina Parker; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

<B>DISALVO</B> — Friends of Joseph D. DiSalvo Jr., who died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services.</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.
