Weaver Jr.

Herman L. Weaver Jr., 77, of Butler passed away Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Lebanon, Pa., the son of the late Herman L. and Aileen Weaver.

Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Cranberry Township and was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He loved to read, was a history buff, and loved reading famous stars' obituaries and making a scrapbook of them.

Surviving are his wife, Donni Weaver of Butler; three daughters, Linda Burnett of Sutton, Mass., Pam Dufrene of Port St. Johns, Fla., and Teressa Shurick of Cocoa, Fla.; four sons, Bruce Weaver of Massachusetts, Andrew J. Binder Sr. of Butler, Jimmy Weaver of Chicora and Herman Weaver III of Portersville; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kay Snyder of Pennsylvania and Dinah of Florida.

He also was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother.

<B>WEAVER</B> — Friends of Herman L. Weaver Jr., who died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, will be received at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Krajacic of the Community Alliance Church officiating.
