James 'Sam' Prementine
James “Sam” Prementine, 73, of Prospect died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday surrounded by his family.
Born April 10, 1937, in Butler, he was the son of the late John Prementine and Veronica Wahoski Prementine.
Mr. Prementine was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect.
He was an electrician who worked for I.B.E.W. Local 10 from where he retired in 1998.
Mr. Prementine enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed golfing, camping and going to the casinos.
Mr. Prementine is survived by his wife, Linda Prementine, who he married Oct. 4, 1980; two sons, James Prementine Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Midland, Texas, and Bryan Cress of Butler; two daughters, Tara Dunn and her husband, Jeff, and Sherry Hepfl and her husband, Kevin, both of Butler; five grandchildren, Megan and Braxton Dunn of Butler, Collin Walker of Butler, Jamie Kubala and her husband, John, of Houston, Texas, and Sean Prementine of Texas; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Kubala of Houston, Texas; and two sisters, Rose Savage and Margie Zapp. both of Butler.
Mr. Prementine was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Prementine; four sisters; and one brother.
<B>PREMENTINE </B>— Friends of James “Sam” Prementine, who died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be at the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Brown of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect officiating.
