CALIFORNIA — The Tornado Volleyball Club 16-under team won its fourth major tournament out of six over the weekend at California (Pa.) University.
The Tornado defeated Penn Highlands 2-1 in the championship match. There were 12-16 teams in each of the tournaments won by the team.

NEW YORK — Free agent right-hander Robinson Fabian became the second minor leaguer in a two-month span to be suspended for 25 games for possession of an unauthorized syringe.Fabian's suspension was announced Monday by Major League Baseball along with 50-game penalties for Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ryan Sasaki and Kansas City Royals second baseman Justin Trapp. They both tested positive under baseball's minor league drug program.
