Sheila M. Stewart
Sheila Marie Schimp Stewart, 60, of Chicora died unexpectedly Friday of natural causes while on a trip to Gettysburg with her husband.
She was born at her home in Sligo, Clarion County, Jan. 4, 1951, the daughter of the late Robert H. Schimp and the late Helen L. McKinney Schimp Campbell.
She worked at Myer's Grocery Store in Sligo and at Mortland's Auto Parts in Lyndora, and she managed the books for her family business in Chicora.
She belonged to Women of the Moose of Chicora, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Parker and the American Legion Auxiliary, Bradys Bend.
She truly enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and looked forward to watching and playing with her beloved grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert G. Stewart Jr. of Chicora, who she married April 30, 1971, in Callensburg; two sons, Eric Stewart and his wife, Tina, of Petrolia and Darrin Stewart of Butler; her one and only daughter, Brandi Stroup and her husband, Steve, of Chicora; six grandchildren, Macy Stroup, Abby Stewart, Colben Stewart, Cody and Dillan Stroup and Kiely Stalker; her brother, Robert J. Schimp of Nashua, N.H.; her sister, Carol Ann. Harding of Jane Lew, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews, including David Stalker, who she and her husband helped raise, and his wife, Nikki, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a twin sister, Susan Mae Berteotti; and a stepfather, Frank Campbell.
<B>STEWART </B>— Friends of Sheila Marie Schimp Stewart, who died Friday, March 11, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St. and Main Street in Chicora. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with her uncle, the Rev. Samuel O. Swick, officiating.
