Eunice 'Eunie' Wilson-Bickel
Eunice “Eunie” Gregory Wilson-Bickel, 89, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born July 15, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of the late Ralph Gregory and the late Estelle Blaylock Kuhlman.
She was a former member of the Concord Presbyterian Church.
She had been employed at the lunch counter at G.C. Murphy's, managed the Family Lanes Bowling Alley for 21 years, managed the Great American Chocolate Chip Cookie Co. at the Clearview Mall for eight years, and was a bus driver for the Moniteau School District.
She was the founder of the Junior Bowlers program at Family Lanes in the early 1960s. She also bowled in the Triplettes League, Met-A League and the Women's Major League. She participated in many local, state and national bowling tournaments.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John (Sally) Campbell of Mishicot, Wis., and Mrs. James (Cathy) Parker of Delmont; and three sons Thomas (Theresa) Wilson of Huntington Station, N.Y., Donald (Lucinda) Wilson of Butler and Joseph (Joanie) Wilson of West Sunbury. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Wilson; her second husband, Robert “Ray” Bickel; and one daughter, Charlene Deutsch.
<B>WILSON-BICKEL </B>— Friends of Eunice “Eunie” Gregory Wilson-Bickel, who died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, will be received at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
