Theresa H. Fedeanis-White

Fedeanis-White

Theresa H. Fedeanis-White, 80, of Zelienople, formerly of Cranberry Township, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born Feb. 17, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Theresa (Lukitsch) Holler of Spring Garden Avenue.

She was employed as an executive secretary following her graduation from Allegheny High School in 1949.

She married her high school sweetheart, George M. Fedeanis, on April 19, 1952. They were married 48 years until his death on March 1, 2001.

Theresa was a longtime resident of Cranberry Township. She was a member of the St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church and a founding member of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company’s Ladies’ Auxiliary.

For almost 30 years, she worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Robert Garvin and Dr. Lyle Nelson in Pittsburgh.

Following her retirement in 1992, she traveled extensively with her husband, George, in their RV. She loved the beach and boating, fishing and swimming. Over the years, she enjoyed sewing, ceramics, gardening, music, reading and bowling. She loved to play cards and board games and watch her “soaps.” Theresa was an excellent cook and well known for her stuffed cabbage and pork and sauerkraut.

On Sept. 4, 2004, she began a new chapter of her life when she married Richard White. Although their marriage was short lived it was full of affection and laughter. Theresa and Richard were more than husband and wife —they were best friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard White of Zelienople; her son, George F. Fedeanis and his wife, Laura, of Lutz, Fla.; her daughter, Theresa M. (Fedeanis) Meglino and her husband, Dr. James A. Meglino, of Glens Falls, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Theresa C. (Meglino) Healey and her husband, Stephen, Alex Meglino and Stephanie Meglino; her great-grandchildren, Maya Healey and James Healey; and her brother, Fred Holler and his wife, Rita, of Cheswick. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy A. Fedeanis, in 1994; and her sister, Dolores (Holler) Zelkovic, in 1995.

Friends were received . Saturday and Sunday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. Interment followed at the St. Mary Cemetery, Ross Township.
