Patricia E. Ray
Patricia E. “Pat” Ray, 65, formerly of Bruin, passed away Sunday at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.
She was born in Kittanning, Jan. 11, 1946, the daughter of Richard E. and Beatrice (Swan) Jamieson.
Pat was raised in East Brady and was a graduate of the former East Brady High School, Class of 1963.
She was a Protestant by faith.
After marrying Barry Ray in 1964, they moved briefly to Fairview and then to their home in Bruin, where they resided for many years.
Pat worked for Taylor's Riverside Market in Petrolia for 15 years as a cashier prior to the onset of her illness.
One of Pat's favorite pastimes was bowling, and she bowled in a league for a number of years before her health declined. She had a fondness for animals, particularly the many family pets over the years and also took great pleasure in gardening and planting flowers around their home.
When Pat was at her best, she was full of life with a straight-forward point of view, possessing a great love for her family. Her most favorite moments were those spent with her loved ones.
Pat was blessed with a wonderful family: her husband, Barry Ray of Petrolia; two daughters, Stephanie Mennor and her husband, Eric, of Chicora and Sandi Gifford and her husband, David, of Karns City; two brothers, Richard Jamieson and his wife, Michele, of Cross Lanes, W.Va., and James Jamieson of Chicora; two sisters, Barbara Oberlander of Strattanville and Terri Houser and her husband, David, of Emlenton; eight grandchildren, Keith, Kenny and Megan Ray, Paige, Kyle and Seth Mennor and Madison and Hunter Gifford; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Duane Scott Ray.

Joseph Boomhower officiating.
