Lawrence L. Boice
Lawrence L. Boice, 79, of New Brighton passed away Friday in his home following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Downieville, Adams Township, and was the son of the late William E. and A. Jane Boice.
Larry had been a prominent self-employed businessman in New Brighton, was a former member of the Greek Orthodox Church in Beaver Falls, a graduate of Girard College in Philadelphia, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James Lawrence and Susan Boice of Fombell; a daughter Terri Piper of New Brighton; six grandchildren, Brad and Chris Piper, Michael, Matthew and Mitchell Boice and Joseph Urlacher; a brother, William Boice of Evans City; a sister, Josephine Brockman of Mars; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Shirley Donaldson Boice and Marian Coulter Boice; a daughter, Deborah Urlacher; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Cecil Croop; a brother-in-law, James Brockman; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Boice.
