Flora Mae Buzanoski, 79, of Butler passed away at 7:55 p.m., Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice after a courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born July 18, 1931, in Butler to the late Leonard and Catherine Miller Henderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Buzanoski, who passed away Jan. 12, 1997.

Flora Mae was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Butler.

A woman of many loves and talents, she was an office clerk in various Butler businesses including American Furniture, Davis Furniture, Reliable Furniture and Furniture Galleries. She also worked most recently at A.B. Mann as a receptionist. In her earlier years, Flora also volunteered her time with the VNA Hospice.

Flora Mae loved spending time with her family, reading, shopping and traveling with her many friends. She enjoyed warm weather vacations to the Florida Keys, Tarpon Springs and California and was a lifelong animal lover.

She will be best remembered for her outgoing personality and ability to make people laugh and enjoy life to the fullest.

Flora Mae will be deeply missed by her three children, sons, Thomas E. Buzanoski, Robert J. Buzanoski and daughter and son-in-law, Amy L. and Christopher A. Lehman, all of Butler; four grandchildren, Matthew, Megan and Macey Buzanoski and Philip Lehman; a sister, Wanda Jean Thompson (Paul) Pfabe of Butler; nieces, Kathy (Donald) Hines, Karen (Gregory) Tritch and Aysa Bachman; other extended family and many special friends who daily blessed her life with love and laughter.

<B>BUZANOSKI — </B>Friends of Flora Mae Buzanoski, who died Monday, April 25, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Robert Peterson, will officiate. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be directed to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
